Story

A journey into the unknown leads to the truth.

Seven years after the war—
Nico, a novelist, boards a train with a hidden purpose and embarks on a journey through various countries and cities.
Amidst the peaceful landscapes, he reunites with former comrades with whom he once braved the fires of war.
Words exchanged, memories revived—
Fragments of the past gradually connect into a single story, slowly revealing the true reason behind Nico’s journey.

The story begins when Nico visits the rural town of Tobic to find his old friend, Doug. By connecting with the townspeople and solving their small troubles, he follows the trail of Doug’s whereabouts.

Nico Grant
The protagonist of this story. A former soldier turned novelist. Once introverted and quiet, his harrowing experiences in the war led him to choose the path of preserving his memories and emotions through storytelling. Seven years after the war ended, he embarks on a journey to visit his former comrades.
Doug Kurt
Doug Kurt
One of Nico’s brothers-in-arms. Born into a wealthy family, he joined the military after refusing to take over the family business due to a conflict with his father. After returning home and reconciling with his father post-war, he inherited the family hotel following his father's passing and has since led it to prosperity.
Sherlock Pinkman
Sherlock Pinkman
A cynical and twisted private investigator. His trademark look consists of a sharp black suit and a long coat. He tackles difficult cases with keen observation and vast knowledge, believing that solving mysteries is his only true purpose in life.
John White.
John White.
Sherlock’s best friend and most trusted partner, supporting him as his assistant. An expert marksman who assists in investigations with courage, he is a true confidant who isn’t afraid to offer sharp retorts to the detective.
Ferruccio Stewart
Ferruccio Stewart
One of Nico’s brothers-in-arms. A young man who has dreamed of performing on stage since childhood. He enlisted at age 15 and, despite being perceived as frail, proved his courage on the battlefield. After the war, he continues to chase his dream of becoming a star.

Pello
Born into wealth but displaced by the war, he lost his family and drifted until he arrived here. Though rebellious and temperamental, he has opened his heart to the children he lives with and to Ferruccio.
Lior Ravel
Lior Ravel
The eldest of three brothers. After the war, he set out for a new land with dreams of musical success, but his younger brothers eventually gave up and returned home, leaving him behind. Burdened by failure and loneliness, he now scrapes by writing cheap songs and drowning his sorrows in alcohol.
Louise Roland
Louise Roland
Born into an ordinary family, she entered nursing school at age 15. During the war, she served with the Red Cross, providing medical support, which is where she first met Nico. Post-war, she faced harsh realities that medicine alone could not heal. She eventually turned to politics, striving for a better future.
Melanie Aubrey
Melanie Aubrey
A student with exceptional artistic talent, a delicate sensibility, and a fierce sense of justice. She loathes corruption and rebels against her brother Neil, firmly believing that justice must be upheld through legal means. While she gathers allies to her cause, the ideological rift between her and her brother continues to deepen.
Neil Aubrey
Neil Aubrey
He went to the battlefield with a heart full of ambition, but was taken prisoner—his life only saved by Nico. After the defeat, as an indigenous person, he faced harsh oppression and the trampling of his dignity. Nevertheless, he continues to act to protect his family and kin, struggling between his ideals and reality.
Jesse Moore
Jesse Moore
At first glance, a lazy and arrogant young thug, yet he has a clumsy, likable charm. He deeply admires Neil as an older brother figure and has found his place through fierce loyalty. Though unreliable at work, his devotion to his friends is unmatched.
